The Driehaus Museum elevator is available on a case-by-case basis as we finish renovation on the Murphy Auditorium. Please call us at (312) 482-9833 to confirm availability.

The Driehaus Museum is located on the north-east corner of Wabash and Erie, just two blocks west of Michigan Avenue.

The last entry to the Museum is one hour before closing.
‘Haus Walk Wednesdays: On the second Wednesday of the month from 3:00-6:00 pm, we offer a gallery stroll through the First Floor period rooms of the Nickerson Mansion. It is free to Illinois residents with identification.
Tickets may be purchased up to 2 weeks in advance. We welcome walk-ins.
Last admission is one hour before the Museum closes: at 2 pm Wednesdays and 4 pm the rest of the week. Tickets include access to our exhibitions.

Tours are $5 plus the cost of regular admission and are offered on a “first-come, first-served” basis. They are not available to reserve online.

The rate is $15 for up to 6 hours.
A Self-Serve Coat Room is available with limited capacity in the historic Butler’s Pantry. Items not permitted in the Coat Room include electronic equipment and devices, food, tobacco (or e-cigarettes), bicycles, scooters, or strollers. The Richard H. Driehaus Museum is not responsible for any lost, stolen or misplaced items left in the Coat Room.
Please note: Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public place where people are present. Despite all precautionary measures taken, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. We are following protection measures as outlined by the CDC and the City of Chicago and ask that visitors do as well.
During the Murphy Auditorium renovations, the Museum’s elevator is available on a case-by-case visit. You may always call beforehand to confirm availability at (312) 482-8933.
The wheelchair accessible entrance is located at 50 East Erie Street, next door to the Museum’s main entrance.
